I originally made a heat sink from a piece of 1/8" aluminum flat stock I had. Just replaced it with this:
12 bucks from Amazon. I guess it's made for a stock GM module and it doesn't quite fit an aftermarket module, but it only took a couple minutes to drill some new holes.

My distributor has a little slop so I was thinking it might be time to rid my stock 360 of the points. What is everyone using? I saw some HEI units on Fleabay that say one wire hook up. 190868049067 for example. Any disadvantage to HEI type? Still room for the stock air breather?
Read that they work good but on some of the cheaper ones some people have had the bearings go out and the dist. blows up. Ford durasparks are built different and don't have this problem. With your 360 I think you have to get a 2 inch carb spacer/and or a 14 inch air cleaner. DUI is nice but expensive. This is why I'am going to do a ford duraspark dist with a gm module. Pro's and cons with each system and you could argue all day long which is better. No matter which way you go it will be a improve over stock points.
