In the end it probably comes down to how hard the truck was driven which determines the life of the BJ's. I just picked up a '96 F250 with 240K on it and I replaced every ball joint on the front end. They all were completely shot.
My parts guy said that Moog makes just about all the ball joints being sold, whether manufactured here or in China. They just put different labels on them...kind of a private label manufacturer. My guy quoted me a very healthy premium if I ordered Moog brand and said they have two different quality levels.
One would think for the most part towing things would more likely
unload the front end even with load stabilizing hitches.
But then again I don't tow. I would like to just have not had the time.
OK I am lying on that part. It's the lack of money for what "I" Want.
