I took it to a local shop last week. He said the low side valve was leaky, they replaced it and it took the freon. the A/C works great now! All for $52. Cant beat that. Thanks guys

The service port(Schrader) valve where the hoses were connected? That's a very common leak point! You got a good deal too.

If one knows that the valve core is leaking they sell a tool where you can remove/replace without losing the charge.
