Do I have a problem?

When I hooked up a new batery in My '01 Ranger, I got a tiny spark when II attached the ground cable. Does ths mean have a drain somewhere? II do have a test lght, Where do put that to test for a problem??

Sounds normal, energizing the computer will cause a very tiny spark, and if you have an under hood light, it will be just a little bigger.

A test light won't really work for that kind of, ah, test, btw. They are a GREAT tool, just not for checking for parasitic draw. You want a multimeter that can measure milliamps. Or better, one of those clamp on jobs.
