how to remove the ac unit...
Hey guys I was wondering if theres a thread or if someone has removed the ac unit from the cab? I want to remove it cus I want a cleaner engine bay plus im not gonna use the ac since im gonna cut of the roof on my truck make it into a roadster type cab. Any help is really appreciated. Thanks in advance...

There have been a few posts on the subject. Basically, other than removal, the 'biggie' is to fab a plate to cover the large hole left in the firewall from the removal of the evaporator housing. You can either make a plate that will bolt in place using the factory holes or fab a plate that gets welded in.
Everything else is pretty straight forward.
You can see in the picture, it's a pretty good sized hole.

Be very careful not to knock off the drain tube when you pull it out.
Recommend at least taking the hood off.
Go slow.
