It would probably be a bit too much with 4x4 decals and the Limited decals that are already on the bed??

Have to disagree, our '04 super crew lariat 4x4 actually sits just a hair taller in the rear/same in the front then my other boss's 2011 super crew platinum 4x4 i had it parked next to at work. i'll try to get a pic next time...

none of the limiteds. 2008/2011 or the 2013/14's have 4x4 decals due to the limited lettering on the bed already as mentioned.

this thread seems to have reached it's useful end, so let's play a game.

2-wheeler or 4-wheeler

some of these are 4x2's some of these are 4x4's. can you tell which is which?

bonus points if you can tell which year. there's a '10, two '12's and a '13

1,2, and 4, are 2 wheelers, 3 is 4times4.
I can't tell the years though.

the suspense is killing me....I don't see a difference in any of them....one sits a little higher in the front but that's all I see.....can`t tell from side? a difference from the front it would be easy

I guess that was my only point.

from the front it is a no brainer. also easy to tell the 13's from the 09-12's from the front.

from the side it is possible to tell, if you really know what to look for.

from the rear, it is nearly impossible.

side by side, the 4x2's stand out, because they have a slightly lower stance in the front. removing the front airdam would mask the difference from the front, but the fender gap would still be the same from the side.

if one were to level his 4x2 and park it next to a 4x4, and neither had stickers, it would be really hard to tell without looking underneath or in the window.

i think removing the stickers would make a guy look twice and that's about it. some like the look without, some want to make subtle changes and see if anyone notices (i'm wired that way), others do stuff just to play .... it's all in what you like.

for me, it's not so easy to tell them apart unless they are parked right next to eachother. and a 09 4x2 parked next to a 08 4x4 stands nearly identical (i know some disagree, and as soon as i pull my 500lbs of winter ballast out of my truck, i'll get ya'all a pic)

i'll let ya'all know on tuesday when i get back from camping. sorry for the poor pics, stupid cell phone.

The stance seems a little higher on #3, the others have a more "nose down" rake. You are correct on the 09 and up being higher than their predecessors, I have a 08 Xl 2wd, it sits noticeably lower than my coworkers newer company trucks, they are also 2wd, not sure how they compare to a 08 4x4 though.

john nailed it

#3 is the only 4x4, the rest are all 4x2. we just got #3 in a few weeks ago, 2014 model.
#1 and #4 are 2013's and #2 is a 2010. but i don't think you can tell from the side.

My 13 STX had the ugliest stickers, stupid red X always made it look cheap to me.. yesterday i just peeled them off, no heat gun needed and no sticky stuff left on truck..

So happy, looks so much better imo
