Just skimming this thread. I could tell right away that was a 2 wheel drive. On the fords it's easy. Only trucks that it's hard to tell on are dodges. My 4wd doesn't have stickers on the bed. Never has. My guess is the guy that owned it for a year and a half took them off. My preference would prob be for the stickers. But not enough to buy them and try and put them on straight and even and etc. but the guy that said those that know, know was right.
I'm thinking about removing mine as well. I don't need to advertise that I have an XTR 4x4. Anyone who knows anything can look at my truck and tell what it is.
I don't like the big red X and think it would look cleaner without. I have nothing red going with my truck.
The only thing bad is people may think the truck was in an accident when I sell it because the decals are missing. A quick carfax check solves that.
I like the 4x stickers but think it would look better painted on....but then again its really just an ego stroke having that sticker there......but doesn't stroking feel good
I have the dealer remove the 4times4 sticker before I'll even take delivery, on the last 5 new trucks I've bought. NO stickers on any vehicle I own.
LOL, that 4times4 sticker always seems like a question, you know, like what does 4 times 4 equal. But, it's your truck, do what you will..
true but that's where knowledge of year and model come in to play
Pretty obvious, but, he was making a point to my "those who knows, know"! statement, I got what he was getting at, an effective "rebuff" to say the least! I do stick to the statement though! LOL! (just have to watch my wording to prevent the ruler on the ole knuckles! ). All in good fun though. How are all of ya'll getting along today?.
I agree with others who said painted would look better. I never really thought about removing them before, but they do look better, imo. It's probably too late for my 2010, even though the paint looks great, it's bound to show that they were removed.
