Hi all, I just picked up an 86 f-50 and noticed it had an odd rear axle. the door code says C53. it looks like it has an air powered locking dif, no compressor under the hood tho. I searched the forum and the web and cant find anything.

What truck Devon?
Give me a build date off the door, and also see if there's an axle tag. A picture or two of the rear may help.
Is this a bigger truck?
Could be an Eaton/Fuller two speed. Those are electric shift
