Flareside Compatability Questions

OK,
so i have found a '53-'56 short flareside bed in better condition than what I currently have (full of rust and holes). The DC catalog shows that the bed sides and front panels are the same for '53-'72 years, but I know the Ford parts book changed part numbers in 1957.

So the questions are:

1. will the original '53-'56 short flareside bed bolt directly on my 1965 F100 short frame?
2. are there any other differences in the panels that I should be aware of?
