04 6.0 - Installing 4 pod pillar gauges (egt, fuel pressure, boost & oil pressure(just to fill the pod) in addition to my scan gauge II x gauges.
1. How far down the exhaust pipe (not drilling exhaust manifold) should I drill the hole for the egt probe/strap clamp?
2. Any easy test port or location for oil pressure sensor?
Thanks
Exhaust manifold would be better for drilling and taping EGT probe due to thicker metal and flater mounting surface. Just drill and tap with the truck running to help prevent blow shaving out instead of going in to the turbo. Use safety glasses!
I can't help with the oil tap, maybe someone will clime in soon.

Drilling and tapping with the truck running is pointless and a good way to burn yourself.
The probe goes on the bottom side of the manifold. Any shavings will fall straight down.
