. So, you think the 2V headers are hindering the performance of your 4V engine in the woods?

No they just won't seal up because they aren't the right port size 4v ports are bigger....

. Seems like an adapter plate and/or copper or aluminum gasket could cure that... along with possibly some die grinder action to the openings of the header primaries to smooth air flow...

header stuff.

did a 400 ford with 4v heads. had to change out the flange to the headers and run outside the frame. not a hard job but tedious and took 2 weekends to complete. being your 351 Cleveland with 4v heads is a shorter deck height might need to add a little pipe to get outside the frame. check out some of my photos and you will see my headers on my orange crewcab. the headers are hedman fenderwell exit and 351m400 2v headers and bought a 4v flange from jegs and welded up. tedious and lots of work but good fit. had to do a filler inside header pipe for proper transition from 4v head into pipe. also ran mpgheads exhaust port plates to help on dead spot on lower part of port. Truck is a 1970 crewcab 4wd 400ford with 4v heads. I also have a set of 351c 4v exhaust manifolds that might work in the Cleveland??

Building a set of headers out of a old set and some new exhaust pipe isn't all that hard..

I cut up my Headman headers to make a set when I swapped my 351M into my Jeep.

Fender well exit headers headman 89360. Buy 4v header flange cut off 2v flange, weld in new 4v flange. This not a simple process! Being you really need weld in some filler on btm of port for best flow results! I pulled my front clip off truck so I had room to do what I needed. Can do this to any 400 header in frame or fender well exit. Will take couple weekends to complete! Depending on work schedule?
