Bleeding the clutch

RickTFL, changing the clutch is a bitc#! Best thing I can say is get a tranny jack and pull the drive shaft off of the back of the tranny after removing the mount in the center of the shaft and removing the u-bolts on the back of it. Then, once the tranny jack is in place, remove the bell housing bolts and slide it back and lower at roughly the same time. Sucks big time! I wish I had known this truck (90 F-150 2WD 4.9 M5OD) had an internal slave BEFORE I bought it......

When I changed my slave cylinder, I used two pieces of all-thread in two bellhousing holes as a guide to slide the trans back. Pulled the slave, replaced it, then slide the trans back in place no muss no fuss. Oh you have to remove the shifter too, bit I think that's required no matter how you go about it.
