My son's 1990 F-150 clutch line is leaking at the fitting where it swivels at the edge of the bell housing. After dropping the trans out I figure out may I didn't need to actually pull it but oh well, look at the clutch and release bearing while it's apart, Right !
Is there something that can be replaced at the swivel part? Now that I have come in for the night and doing a little research, then find out the line comes apart at this joint, I'm about stoked!
Thanks for any advice anyone can give on this topic.
I dont have a garage and needed my truck back, asap, so I did not do it, but I can tell you what happened,
my clutch line was leaking, and draining the clutch master cylinder,
"the guy" that did it said to get to the line, you have to take the transmission out to get to the clutch slave cylinder,
so instead of just paying $500 to get the clutch line replaced, I also got the clutch, flywheel, new clutch slave cylinder, and clutch line replaced....
I think you'll have to take the transmission out again.
