Hi all just finished doing a 78/79 steering box swap in my 77 f250 highboy everything went very well with alot help from fellow fte users, i am using for now the push pull steering system, my question is do i need to install a steering stabilizer shock? just looks like there may be issues with a possible death wobble with such a large tie rod running from one side to the other? Does anybody have any thoughts on a possible shock to use or part number brands etc if needed

Steering dampners, or stabilizers are specifically valved for steering, you can't just throw a shock on there!
Mainly they are used with LARGE tires, 35" and up usually (for me) the long tie-rod running from side to side isn't the issue, slop in the steering system and worn parts are the most likely culprits.
What size meats are you running, and how is the health of the rest of your steering system?
I think I got my last one from NAPA.
Sorry i think i may have mis communicated I don't have any issues with death wobble was just curious if and what guys are using for steering stabilizers shocks. And yes I am quite aware the steering stabilizer shock is of its own design I am a licensed auto tech with over 20 years on the front end machine. I guess what i was looking for was possible part numbers and different mounting systems you may have used without having to dig through pages of my shop manual/parts books, any luck using the factory mounting holes?
Just look up the stock steering stabilizer for a '79 F150. That is if I understand you converted to the crossover steering. The drag link should already have a hole for one end, you just need the little cup bracket for the frame side. A single stabilizer is fine up to 33" tires. 35" and above you should really run a dual set up.
I make a dual set up that works fairly well. Here it is on another FTE member's truck. It just uses two stock shocks instead of one.

Im sure some of the lift kit companies have steer stab brackets available. Single and double.
Depending in the front end they come with the passenger side hole for a steering stabilizer. My dana 60 front has one and I run a Monroe brand steering stabilizer. It mounts to the tie rod, not the drag link. I have a bracket from wfo concepts to mount to my 1.5" tie rod.
Thanks for the pics, was looking at the truck last night and had me thinking if it might be possible to use the hole in the tie rod end and maybe the mounting bracket and hole on the diff where the power steering ram assit cylinder was?
You could also just get the dual stabilizer kit for Chevy. It clamps to the tie rod and the axle tube. Three u-bolts hold it to each. Someone put one on Ka'Bluey and it seems to work pretty well.
