I found a bundle of wire ends that seem to match the controller harness color scheme with the exception of the blue on the controller. Those are the pass through wires from the engine compartment. I actually had to pull my center lower dash panel to get to my plug. It is straight down from the 4wd switch You did buy the adapter harness right?
On my 2001 I had to drop the trim panel below the steering wheel. Once I did that there was a metal bracket with about a 2 1/2 hole in it just below the 4X4 switch.....the plug was just through that hole in the bracket.
