Basically connects to the my ford touch and gives you video input for either video (like a DVD player) or up to 3 cameras. It also allows you to disable the navigation lockout so you can enter info (you being the passenger, not the driver) while the vehicle is moving.
I have one and it controls a grill mounted camera in addition to the factory backup camera. It automatically turns on the grill camera when the vehicle is below 7mph, and turns off when you go above that speed. You also have the ability to manually turn on either camera at any time which is nice. Personally I like to leave the rear camera on when towing so I can see the trailer hitch at all times to know if there's an issue which you can't do with the factory rear camera that only comes on when the vehicle is in reverse.
Great device, my only gripe is against myself since it took me almost 4 months to get around to installing it and my grill camera in my 2013 F-150.
Cant you unlock stuff like nav and other features that are in there but not activated by the dealer? From what I understand everything is loaded but "locked" and if you ordered it or bought it like Nav and blu tooth the dealer then unlocks it. With lock pic you can unlock everything yourself.
