Hey Sir. Thanks for replying to my post regarding my 48 f3 stakebed frame. Thanks for showing interest and too bad you are too far. I am hoping you can tell me what you were willing to pay for it. That way I have some sort of idea of what would be a good price for it. I traded the truck to offset the cost of another restoration project so every penny counts and I would hate getting burned by someone nor do I want to ask an unrealistic price. Thanks for any help in advance.I will be posting pics tomorrow
I am in Summerland BC and am putting an 06 front suspension and complete 96 T-Bird 5.0 AOD and IRS.
My IRS, when I set the mounts so that they are parallel to the frame with the frame set to level the angle on the pinion flange is 0. I have not mocked up the engine so I do not know the angle of the tail shaft.
It appears that you have set your IRS parallel to the frame, if so what is your pinion angle.
I used the 03+ corwn vic panther suspension under my truck, the K member for the suspension already had the 4.6 mounts on it so i didnt have to fabricate anything at all for the motor. as for the wiring harness i used everything from my donor car harness ECU and all. im fairly good with wirring and opened up the loom and took out everything i wasnt going to use such as lights, ABS, alot of emissions stuff, ect. after all that i took and got my ECU custom programmed and tuned by a local shop to get rid of the check engine codes. lemme know if you have any questions and ill try to get a few more recent pics when i get a chance
also here is a thread that had some pics and explination of what i did https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...ap-update.html
I made my own motor mounts
wiring including entire dash is out of a mustang
detail zone re-worked the computer removed the pats system
yes you will need everything from the donor car.......everything!!!!!
fuel tank and harness and roll over switch
