Question Which Diagnostic and Code Scanner are you using?

Anyone using a Diagnostic and Code Scanner you feel gives best features for reasonable price. Bi-directional control would be a plus. I've looked at some Innova 3160d and Autel MB802 units but wonder what else is out there.

I have an Innova 3100, it was on sale at Canadian Tire
a few years ago,I think it was $99 iirc

It just has freeze frame data, but it's way better than no data at all!
It has worked great ,I have no complaints with the quality, but I would like to have live data as well.

I want to upgrade to an autoenginuty pc based but am a little shy of
the lcd screen outdoors.
If it is anything like my smartphone it would be pretty much useless
under the hood outside.

I've used a cardboard box as a sunshade for my notebook when outdoors. It ain't pretty but it works.

If it works, it doesn't matter what it looks like

I use ScanGuage to just read codes quick. I also have AutoEnginuity with the Ford enhancement for diagnostics. The laptop is usually inside the cab so sun isn't too bad on the screen.

Yes ,not often you would need it under the hood
