Code Scanner

I know Autozone does it for free, but where would you find a good code scan reader? What about price?

Thanks for any insight.

I've heard the Equus OBD II Code Reader is pretty good at $150. An even better solution is a product called Autotap...check them out at autotap.com.

There's also the 1715 Superchips tuner with code readers.

For a cheepy, I bought a Creader from Harbor Freight tools. Since I buy and sell cars and trucks on a regular basis (usually gov't fleet vehicles), I figured I would use it a little. I have used it for 3 of my personal vehicles, and about 5 others (relatives, friends, and neighbors) in the 6 months I've owned it. No problems, and it's always been right. It scans and clears codes. Cost? $49.99. Well worth it. Here it is:
