03 Expy 5.4 Liter Electrical Issue

Hey Ford guys, having trouble with my Expedition here and I believe I know about 50% of the problem..other 50% is how to fix it. I just had a crazy electrical issue come up. My door locks (all) have stopped working, panel and remote. The driver door buzzer has stopped also. Radio will not go off when the key is removed or door us opened. I first checked all the fuses and all good. Liftgate will not open and obviously I cannot open it to check it's latch. I have sprayed wd-40 on all the latches and handles and worked it in good. Autozone guy told me it may be the liftgate handle/latch and is broken causing the car to think it may have been broken in to disabling these things....sounds weird but I don't know. It that is true, I cannot open the hatch to remove the plastic panel to get to the switch....any suggestions? Or maybe another problem causing this? Someone else told me my alternator is going bad....need help please!

Hello,

Did a little more research. My 2003 does not have a GEM but a CSM(Central Security Module). Dealer replacement according to service center and local one. Did not ask where location of this module was and price as a client walked into my office. Will have to call tomorrow. He suggested that might be the issue but a diagnostic would be in order to rule out obvious things. From what I have found on the internet, the module will run $200+ and will need to be programmed from dealer. Not an Autozone part and me install. Anyone else run into this? Does anyone know of the location of this module and could this be the culprit? I have cleaned and WD-40d the heck out of my latches except the back gate as I cannot open it. Any suggestions on getting it open to clean the latch and see if it might be the issue? Any help guys would be appreciated...thanks in advance!!!

Anybody ? Any suggestions? I'd like to be able to get the back hatch open to get to the two screws holding the plastic panel on, then to check the latch and handle to see if broken or what might be the toruble. Please help!! Thanks!!

I'm fairly certain the interior panel is removable with the hatch closed.

Thanks for the reply Alloro, any idea how to do it? I cant get to the two large screws that face towards the outside right where the wiper motor is. Will the panel "pull" off with clips or close enough to see where the latch might be? Thanks.
