Vostro 260 issues
I'm having problems with the display adapter on my Dell Vostro 260 desktop.
It quit doing VGA a couple of months ago -- the display starts out, but when it tries to get into Windows, the monitor says "not supported"
Settings were never changed, and it worked a couple of times after that, Monitor works with a different compute
Now, it's given me a couple of no starts with the HDMI connector. Does go after a couple of reboots, but I fear the worst.
Seems to have integrated graphics.
I want to just add a display adapter and continue, but I'd like some recommendations.
I don't need anything extreme. I read forums, and view a few things like Hulu and YouTube. Not a gamer.
I did check around a bit, and a couple of places mentioned that you had to be careful because the power supply is only 300W.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks,
hj

AMD Radeon HD 6450 1 GB PCI Express Graphic Card : Parts & Upgrades | Dell
They look like they're just basic PCI Express 2.0 x16 video cards - based on that, I did a search on Newegg and came up with a bunch of possibilities.
Newegg.com - Computer Hardware, Video Cards & Video Devices, Desktop Graphics Cards, PCI Express 2.0 x16
Take your pick, they all pretty much do the same thing...
