Finally finished the rear fenders. Started on them in January and finally got them painted yesterday. Each fender has three patch panels and the bottom of one fender was completely gone. Except for a little touch up the paint work is done.
Congratulations on getting everything in final paint, it looks fantastic! Getting sheet metal prepared for a dark color like your Porsche Blue is a challenge, only slightly less demanding than black. I can relate to how long it takes to bring sheet metal up through final paint like your rear fenders. It seems like I have been working priming and blocking my doors forever, it has to be a generous month (and I am retired). Tonight I just shot what I hope will be the final prime but when I shoot a mist coat and start with a long board I will most likely not be there yet!
Very nice. That is a beautiful color.
So is that a spare bed for painting?
You have me confused with one picture with finished fenders on unfinished bed. Then another with no fenders on a finished bed.
Ryan, that roadster is going to be awesome as well.
Jeff just finished painting the roadster, very similar color.
Jeff Miller is a awesome painter he has painted several roadsters for me. I believe that my first roadster is on the front page of his web site.

I have two 48 beds. I found a bed in Wickenburg Az that was in better shape so I used it for the truck. We saw a post here on the forum where a guy made a plywood jig to bolt the fenders to while he was doing the repairs, so I figured why not use this old bed as a jig while doing the repairs, it actually worked out quite well. The old bed goes up for sale next week if anyone needs it.
