Check your g-force shut-off and it might be at the pump. Try running juice to directly above the pump.
The fuel pump will work when power is applied via jumper wires. Are you talking about the safety shutoff switch behind the passenger kick panel? If so, it appears to be in the normal run position as it appears to be pushed in all the way.

Yes thats what Brent is talking about, There seams to be conflicting reports on this mysterious fuel pump relay as it seems so have it and some dont. I suppose it depends on the year..
I checked power at the shut off switch. I am reading about 7 volts on the green wire with yellow stripe ( feed from PCM according to the wiring diagram that I got from a friend ) when the key is turn on. Should I have 12 volts? Also, if I unplug the shut off switch and put 12 volts to the pink and black wire , the pump runs and the truck starts and runs fine until I remove the power. Bad PCM maybe?

It's not all 12V, it is confusing to me where it goes from 12V to other voltages, and why.
Rick, Im having the exact same symptoms. Did you ever find the fix?
I pulled the cjb, and pulled it apart. there is a small relay that looks a little melted so Im assuming thats my cause. I havent replaced it yet so im not 100% sure yet.
**** poor design to have a normally cheap relay permanently attached to an expensive cjb. I guess no one knows of a way to jump past the cjb and install a relay like the pre 02 design?
Yeah, it's been done. We covered it in depth in one of these sections a few years ago.
Thanks sho
I've been searching for the thread all morning but can't seem to find it.
I've seen threads Where it was mentioned, but no "how to" threads.
It shouldn't be that difficult to do if you find the right wires and use the right relay. 2 very big ifs.
I'm just scared of doing it wrong and frying a pump or EEC or worse.
May just say screw it and get a cjb from the junk yard. Does anyone know if the 2002-05's are interchangeable?
Pull the FUSE near the middle of the box, remove the gas cap, put your ear near the tank filler tube, have some turn the key off/on. Also you can turn the key on and have someone install/remove the fuse as you listen. How did the pump act before it went out last time?
With the ignition switch turned on, I can pull and replace the fuel pump fuse and cannot hear anything clicking in the cjb nor will the pump run. I don't know what else to do.RICK

You have to have someone else pull the fuse while your ear is on the filler tube, it might only run for 3 seconds. What is cbj?
The fuel pump fuse won't cause the relay to click if the fuse is pulled. Only the PCM will energize the relay and only for two seconds when power is first turned on or when the engine fires.

How can I tell if the relay is working? I hate the idea of going to the dealer.
