Cab swap questions

I have a 95 f250 living in Michigan its well junk -Bought a nice 93 f150 want to swap cab from f150 to f250

F250 specs - Manual 4x4 5.8l XL very basic
F150 specs - Automatic 2x4 5.0l XLT all power cruise control ect.

I know the cab will swap easy enough but what i don't know is should the wiring harness still plug and play???
I know i have to swap the computer due to the engine difference and transmission.
Also keeping my steering column due to i don't have cruise or anything else (this may also have different wiring harness.

I do know though that much of the time harness interchange but there may be extra or empty wires -

Question is SHOULD the wiring harness work with out taking my harness out of the truck

I did something similar, but both my cabs were a 90, so some things will have changed by your years. My old cab was all manual, the donor was auto and loaded.

Since I swapped my old dash back into the old cab, there was very little wiring from the new cab that stayed behind. Only the crossover for power doors and the small harness for rear cab lights. Those plugged into my other harness fine.

My Dad had a 92 F-150 4.9L manual cab swapped onto his 93 F-350 5.8L auto and I far as I know the garage used the original F350 harness.

Okay so if i run into trouble i swap the dash and wires around - But i should at least be able to plug into the main harness at the firewall and then follow it from there.

You said you had a auto cab that put on a manual - is the plate/opening there just have to be removed to get the shifter through???

The trans tunnel cover was the same on both except for hole. I swapped covers but you could easily cut a new hole.

For me its a farm truck - if i can get heat air and a safer ride then i have now, - yes i will cut a hole for it same with the 4x4, but like i thought it should all interchange. It just has to pass Michigan inspection for a new title and have a feeling they arnt gonna check it real close anyways - if everything works i think it will pass.
