guy i have a issue i got a new cab and doors for $150 thay are mint !! but the guy the took the steerind collem out cut the plugs off the cab harness .my truck is a 92 and the cab is from a 94 is the harness the same i dont want to re wire the cab is the 92 harness the same. so my Q is can i just graft the plugs from the 92 harness to the 94 cab thank for help
The schematics are the same from 92-94, but the color codes are different so you'll need both schematics and make yourself a cross reference sheet as you solder/splice the connections.
Solder the connections and slip over heat-shrink tubing for years of trouble free service. You do not want rust to form on the wiring joints. You can also use crimp-on bullet connectors but again, put heat-shrink tubing over them to seal them.
The path of least effort is to swap your known-good 92 cab harness into the 94 cab. While it looks scary, you'll have things apart anyway and it's about two hours sling it over.
The in-cab wiring harness behind the dash is held in with clips and fabric-type electrical tape from the factory - easily moved.
