Do any of you have these? I'd like to know how well they work.

Here's a pic that shows a 20" bar mounted in the same spot on a newer '05+ truck. Mine will be similar, but I'm mounting a smaller bar because I wanna keep the factory foglight location available.

Stewart

Why do you want to keep the factory fog light location for the 2 x2's and then a 10" in between?

You misread my post. I said I was pulling the fogs and replacing them with the Rigid dually lights.

Which reminds me, the brackets arrived...I need to post some pics...just been too busy with taxes.

No I caught it, and edited it.

But, why the 2x2 and the 10" in between them? I hope I caught that one right. Why not just the 20" like in the photo. They do put out a nice wide spread already with out having to go floods beside them, plus you will not be able to use the fogs with on coming traffic.

The fogs aren't hooked up. They are mounted, but nothing else, no wiring whatsoever so replacing them with the 2x2's (flood pattern) seemed like a good idea back when I came up with it in January.

Then I learned about the brackets in March.

I waffled between removing the fogs, using the whole space with a 20" bar (and doing something else with the dually lights), or going with the 10" bar and 2x2's.

2x2's and 10" bar won out.

Does anyone know if the KD light bar brackets work on earlier Excursions? I know it says 2005-2007 but I'm hoping they would work to mount a 20 inch bar in the bumper of my 2000

highbeams

low beams

10" RI E2 Combo Mounted behind Grill, spliced into factory highbeam switch. Throws light everywhere, so in areas with traffic, you need to turn them off.

It only says 05 - 07 because you're looking in the wrong section.

So first, you have to go to the correct section. You need to click on the '99.5 - 04 Super Duty link and then choose the 20" light bar bracket.

Bumper Brackets for 20" LED light bar - 99.5-04 Ford Superduty F250 F350

Oh, I see now. Thanks for the reply. Those are the right brackets but I've ordered the wrong light bar. My bar mounts from the bottom and those brackets require side mounting. I guess I'll be stuck with mounting my new light bar on the front push bar.

What kind of light bar did you get? Would you mind posting pictures?

I ordered it yesterday. It seemed to get good reviews and it's relatively cheap. When it gets to me I'll install it and post some pictures of it.

I could be wrong but I think with the KD brackets you want the light bars with the L brackets on the end.

My '02 X came without fog lights. Is the wiring there and I just need to change the switch and add the lights or do I need to add my own wiring?

On my '05 XLT without factory fogs I have no wiring for them, perfect time to put those factory provided customer access wires to use!
