When asking for our help, it is always useful if you provide us with some information about your truck: Year? Model? Bed Style? Wheelbase? Location of fuel tank if modified? To give you a general answer, On my '66 long wheelbase Styleside with stock fuel tank location I was able to go to the junkyard and find the pieces I needed to mount my spare wheel/tire under the truck at the very back. Make sure the junkyard truck has the same size wheels that your truck has. I will attach some pictures. Hope this helps.
If 1961/66's were ordered with an optional spare, the usual location was under the bed at the rear.
An option on Stylesides was a bracket that allowed the spare to be mounted vertically inside the bed, usually seen on the left side, just behind the cab.
Flaresides were available with another option: Spare could mounted on the left...outside of the bed using a bracket, along with the left rear fender that had a cut-out for tire clearance.
Left upper: Flaresides & Stylesides / Right: Stylesides / Left lower: Flaresides.
thanks guys have a 1965 SWB with a gas tank from a ford ranger under the bed. forgot to mention that when I posted it the first time. I have the room in the back for it just wanted to see hat yall thought
Hey ND - so 61-64 F100s had no spare anywhere unless ordered as an extra cost option? Jeez.
Reminds me I need to drop that thing and get it replaced. Pretty sure it's original, it doesn't hold air too well and probably wouldn't work as advertised. Next, can the bed mounted spare tire bracket for stylesides be obtained today anywhere? Would be interested in doing this, thinking of adding an aux fuel tank at the spare tire location.
ND - Any sources for NOS under-bed spare mounting brackets/hardware ('66 lwb no mods)?

I have one that I took out of my son's 63 LWB UNI. I don't know if it is the original factory unit or if it was added. I have the mounting bolts, the flat plate that the tire goes up against and the tire rack.
