OBDII port

Has anyone tried running more than one device through their OBDII port, such as a Scangage and a Mileage Logger?

I know I can get an OBDII splitter, but not sure if both devices will work at the same time...

I have heard of couple of people trying and didnt work for them. May want to find out for sure before possibly wasting your money on it.
