If you have the OBD 2 connector under the dash it may work. I haven't done this but I think you can tell the scanner you have a 96 and it will work. If all you have is the OBD 1 connector it won't work.
I have the OBD2 connector and told them that and they came back with "our product doesn't work with your truck.
How about other PC scanners? I work at U of Kansas and they might run bioD in my truck (free nearly unlimited fuel!) for testing. Mainly driver impressions. We will need to collect as much data as possible. So I am looking for something to hook up to the OBD port and collect data real time.
I thought I had read it somewhere that some of the 95's will work with AE.
Quote from Dennis @ ITP Diesel
"It is my understanding that the EEC computer in the Powerstroke trucks is OBD-II compliant as far back as 1996 (and possibly some 1995 trucks). There are problems using software like AE on 1994 and some 1995 trucks because those PCMs were not fully OBD-II compliant (they were not required to be at that time) and don't properly respond to certain standard OBD-II commands."

Any help appreciated!
How do I apply for this testing? I'm in Idaho, so I'll need an off-campus position and U of K P-Card. Go (insert name of U of K football team here)!
