gas cap search
Looking for a couple of caps for our new to us 73 f-250. It has the flanges, and no shop around has one to fit. Online, I see them, but do I want the cap with the evaporative emission control? Has a 4 barrel 460 from 78 under the hood.

Do you have a charcoal canister on the passenger side frame rail by the radiator? That's the evapoartive emission control. If that isn't there, look for a 5/16" line running along the passenger side frame rail back to the fuel tank.
The difference is the non-evap cap is vented, the evap cap is non-vented.

Thanks, I sandblasted the frame then sprayed two coats of Rustoleum red primer then finished it off with two coats of Valspar semi-gloss black industrial coating.
