Looks like if the rear cover were clocked 180 to bring the charge lug up near the top then the connector would then be pointed down.

Anyone want to be the guinea pig?

My new alternator has shipped according to dc power I will post load testing results after the install

Just installed my 250 amp dc alternator Load tested up to 247 amps Voltage at no load is spot on 14.75 volts. Testing was done at high idle 1200 rpm. At 247 amps the voltage never dropped below 14.00 volts...

The real number is voltage during the GP cycle.

I think the GP pull about 120amp and the truck needs about 40amp more just to run.

Yes, the voltage never went under 14 with a 247 amp load...
