Just popping in real quick to say Thank you to all of our servicemen and women, fallen, past, and present.
Also to our Firefighters (myself a volunteer back home) our Police, EMT's etc.
My hat is off to all of you!
Ate supper decided to do a little cane pole fishing. After catching several Lilly pads I got irritated and took off my shoes and socks. Told myself I wouldn't get my shorts wet, and then said I wouldn't get my "boys wet" and all of a sudden I'm chest deep pulling Lilly pads out.
The clear area was like the rest. And the water was chest deep were the pads start at and steadily going deeper
Just a little bit bob. My neighbor convinced me to wait tell they started to bloom and he'd spray them... a week after spraying there still green so I started dragging them out... roots and all
We're so busy I'd don't know if I'm coming or going.
This week; Three softball games, four nights of swim team practice, kids are taking end of year testing, wife is giving end of year testing, one awards meeting, one eighth grade formal dance, two birthday parties Saturday, and a swim team clinic on Sunday.
Gee's James, you need to devide yourself up into at least thirds to get all of that done.
Been playing email, and phone tag trying to get our vacation stuff situated. We do have a cabin picked out, and paid for a full week in Gatlinburg Tn. as I've mentioned before.
I have one of my friends from the German Shepherd Rescue that is offering to watch my boy Rocky, free of charge, just return the favor and I've always been great about that.
BUT.... The week we have the cabin reserved, is the same week she is going
home (Canada) for her brother's wedding. (WHEW)!
Now we're trying to reschedule the cabin, and we're all ready to get away from home for a few day's.
I'm trying to raise a few dollar's with the CFO (Wife) find out, so I can fly out our daughter whom we haven't seen in a year.
Bob I always let my wife do the scheduling and I normally end up footing the bill... haha.
Spent today looking over the truck for the big race this weekend, also tore apart my old chainsaw and got it running again... (sorta) just need a new fuel line and a filter to get her going now!
Bob, sounds like you have a great vacation planned. Hope you get to see your daughter.
Larry, I usually let my wife do the planning as well. It's a lot easier when my only job is to pack the truck when I'm told. They usually end up bringing a months worth of crap for a long weekend but I'd rather do that then deal with reservations and calendar planning.
I need a new chainsaw. Mine finally bit the dust a couple of months ago. I refurbished it twice over about ten years. New bars and chains and carb rebuilt. But this last time I tore it down and every gas line needed replacing including those ba$tard internal frame ones and it needed a new cylinder head. I gave it up. RIP
