I was sure Tim would get a ticket, since he did rearend another vehicle. BUT, another cop seen it happen, and Tim had plenty of distance in front of him. The box truck stopped suddenly, because another vehicle in front of the box truck lock the brakes.
Tim went to stop, and at the same time Hydroplaned in standing water and he slid under the box truck.
No tickets issued

Had a little thunder on the coast but a lot of rain. Been pumping containment pads since 6. Bout sure the first one I pumped is almost full again. Guess I'll start over, gotta have the visible ones empty for the air show.

Another busy day. Dealing with the insurance company, though we only had liability, it needed to be processed.
Made it out to the tow lot and everything out of the car, license plate, stereo paperwork, even took the spoiler off of the deck lid.
I think we have the car sold, and should be picked up tomorrow around noon.
We got enough out of it to put the money back into the bank after paying for the tow, and have $80 extra

Mowed the yard today, bout 2 the neighbor came over an said he had rented a termite for all weekend an was done so if I wanted to use it it was there. I spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning up an ripping small trees down that I had planned to cut anyways. Got a lot of stuff cleaned up and pilled up ready to burn. Plan on using it tomorrow too, sure beats the manual labor I've been doing around the house

Good morning everybody!
Up and having my coffee, so nobody gets hurt.
Hopefully we'll get a call early today about finishing up the sale of the wrecked Escort. This was supposed to be a done deal Saturday. Then the owner of the tow lot decided he wasn't going to meet the tow driver Saturday at noon, as he earlier said he would.
Then back home and get the yard mowed and trimmed.
