Angry Bolts

Hi guys, while working on my 78 F350 today I noticed a couple of bolts that didn't seem right. On some 5/16 and 3/8 bolts marked on the head; Lawson,
AJE, KS, and LE that they would screw into a SAE or Metric nuts. Very sloppy
fit either way. If torqued to much they stripped out. Be careful if using them on anything that might affect the steering or suspension. If they become loose it could cause you to have an accident. Watch what bolts you are using. Not sure if there made in China, but I suspect so.

Lawson is one of the very few fastener manufacturers left in North America

No matter where there made you still shouldn't be able to screw a SAE
thread into a metric nut or a Metric thread into a SAE nut. It's wrong and
unsafe.

Except for all of those metric bolts that will thread into SAE holes and vice versa.

You'll get less than a crappy class 1 fit, but they can thread in if you're careful enough to select just the wrong hardware.
