So I called Saflite Auto Glass and I asked if they use the OEM carlite windshield, they said no they only use their brand witch is made in US.
I also asked if they send two techs out because I have a lifted truck "4 lift and 35s" and he said that they have a device that mounts to the door to act like a 2nd person. Not to sure if I like that idea? Also their is a $25 fee to come out, not a big deal. I want them to come out because I dont want to drive off with a new windshield, im worried about the adhesive not curing fully and shifting while driving home they are about 15 miles from me. Any one ever go to the dealer to get a new windshield installed?
Am I being to paranoid? I just want it done right and I have heard about other brand windshields having waves in it.
Thanks....Gage
I would go to carlite.com and click on the contact us tab and scroll down to find a dealer and type in you zip code.
I know in Oklahoma City Safelite is listed as the carlite dealer.
So I just called Gerber collision and Glass.....They told me that they do use Carlite glass for my truck and the price is about just under $400....
