Yesterday while driving along I10 here in Tucson had a rock come from the opposite direction and crack the windshield real good (6 inches down, then 6 - 8 inches over.
Called the insurance company today and have an appointment set up to get new glass. I already have specified Carlite glass.
What I'm wondering though, can I get the "new" style glass that has the dots and Super Duty across the top for my '01 F250 . If so, anyone have the part number.
My 04 already had Super Duty across the top, but when it got in a fight with a rock, I specifically requested that the new window have Super Duty and the factory style blue tint line across the top. The insurance lady said no problem, and they were out with the right windshield the next day.
Per a glass guy here in town I checked with about the same question, he cross referenced the sizes and said that it's a go. So here I am trying to baby mine as long as possible because I don't want to have the new windshield pitted from the CALTRANS sand trucks. Hope I can make it to spring.
oh man, i got my new windshield last year with no stickers or letters on it, just plain. After i got it installed, i was going back home on I35 and a bird came out of nowhere and hit my freshly installed windshield and put a small crack on it. talk about luck!!
This thread got me thinking. I was in the glass shop last week inquiring about a windshield in the spring. I called back today to ask about the windshield and it will fit my 99. He said the only issue may be the spot where you can look onto the dash to see the vin #. Quoted me $60.00 more.

That is great news......
I had an '03 F250 that had that glass, but my '02 F350 does not. I've often thought I'd request the Super Duty lettering on a new windshield if the existing glass ever broke.
aortizexcursion per the web link you posted the answer to your question is right there, it says the following:
"SoundScreen acoustic windshield is available now on the Ford Escape and Expedition and the Lincoln Navigator and MKX, and as replacement glass for those models. It also will be available later this year on the 2008 Focus."
So unless the new excursion crosses over to the same windshield as the truck I would have to say no.
BuddyB, I checked the Carlite site, no luck on a part number but a quote out of Reno was $313.
