I currently have 3" drop Bell-Tech I-Beams and a 5" drop Flip Kit on my lowered 92' f-150. I am currently back to using the stock rims with 235/75r15 tires on the front and 265/70r15 tires on the rear.
My question is, "does any one recommend a lower profile tire size instead of using the stock 235/75r15 tires."
The reason I ask this is. I have a set of 2" drop Crown lowering springs I want to put in but I'm afraid I am going to have tire rub with the 235/75R15 tires in front. The truck will have a 5 inch drop in the front and 5 inch drop in the rear.
I want to keep the same size tire on all 4 rims so I can rotate them do to the front tires chopping out. Further more, I also do not want a tire that's going to rub in the front on every dip I hit on these back country roads I drive on 5 days a week to and from work.
Any suggestions would be great because I am stumped... I been thinking about going with 235/60r15 - 255/60r15 or going with 265/50r15 on all 4 tires but I worry about tire rub on the front.
Any recommendations from past experience would be appreciated before I go out and blow some cash and be unsatisfied.
Good looking truck; do you have any before the 2" lower spring pics?
Here are 2 older pictures with a 3-5 drop. I don't have any digital pictures of the truck when it was not lowered...It's been lowered for about 14 years now.
Got the truck aligned today and 2 new tires on the front. 255/60r15....Took the guy 3 hours to align it....Still pulls to the left a tad.. If I knew I was going to have so much room under the wheel wells I would of got 3 inch drop springs...
