I'll try that tomorrow. The truck right now is running fine (with out pulling it out my shop just in case it does die it is in my shop.). I can press on the gas it revs fine. Turbo spools. I can let it idle it idles fine. Right now I don't see anything abnormal but I don't know what all the readings on the scan gauge means. Just real Leary about saying it is fine and letting the wife drive it and it leaves her stranded. That would not be a good day/night for me.

Thank you for all your help so far I really appreciate it!!!!

You want the parameters with ECT 185+...

koeo, low idle and 2500 rpm.

Cold start doesn't mean much.

Having .75 volts ICP and IPR of 20% doesn't mesh well with a stuck IPR...

Ok
Might be a couple days but I'll get those numbers. The truck was not warmed up to an ECT of 185.

Question .75 ICP and IPR 20% doesn't mesh well? Does that mean you think maybe the IPR is bad? Is it easy to pull and check?

In November. (1500 miles or so go) I had the HPOP and ICPR valve replaced.
HPOP-4c3z-9a543-aarm
ICPR- 3c3z-9c968-aa

I didn't do the work myself due to being on vacation and in Nebraska instead of my shop in Texas. So I can say much but I found the receipt and that is what it said along with oil drain pipe o-ring kit. :-(

Somehow the PCM thinks it has more ICP psi than it actually has which shows with .75 ICP and yet a low IPR%

Was the .75 a constant number or fluctuating from .75 to .85?

I do not suspect the IPR at all, but suspect a bad ICP sensor and/or ICP painter.

Ok, I took it out the shop this morning for a drive. I got about 2 car lengths farther than last time it died. Acted the same. Crank, no problem but would not fire off. I opened the hood and unplugged the sensor on the passenger valve cover (I can't remember the name for it but thought it is the ICP sensor). I tried to start it, it cranked and fired off but would not run. I plugged the sensor back in and restarted the truck. After that I went for a 5 or so mile drive and everything ran fine again.
I didn't get the coolant all the way to 185 but it was at 179. (Didn't have the time to wait and wanted to get the truck back into the shop before it died again)
Idle
IPR - 20.4
ICV - .81
ICP - 581
2500 rpm (or close to it) (in neutral)
IPR - 33.7
ICV - 1.62
ICP - 1622

Thinking loose/dirty connection at that sensor or it going bad????????

Thanks again,
Troy

Surprised it wouldn't allow you to drive with ICP sensor disconnected.

How does the connector look? Dry and no broken wires? There is that grey plastic clip on the wires that has caused some problems too.

The connector and sensor looks good.?.? Worth buying a new sensor and installing it or since it's going one wait and see what happens.
