Hi guys! .... I'm putting a 272 in my 54 f100 and not sure witch trans to use . The factory one that was behind the 239 or I got one with the motor when I bought the motor but it is longer tail shift on it that would make the drive shift have to be shorten which one would be best for the 272 ? Thanks for y'all's help !!!

 

Put the short one in. Its the correct for the truck and basically the same trans used for many years on the 272 and 292 in trucks so you'll be fine

 

Thanks !! That was what I was hoping on because its goin to be less work jst wasn't to sure whitch one was stronger.
