having trans problem need help

i have a 1984 modle truck i took out trans and motor out at same time and 351w with overdrive trans and the trans shifted fine but i redone motor and place both in my 92 and now trans won't shift need help

do you mean the trans wont shift while you are driving? or wont shift into a drive gear?

That's a pretty vague description of the problem. Just guessing that Your putting an 84 drivetrian into Your 92 truck.

F150?C6 tranny? AOD?
