At the bottom of the "stock" fuel pump, there is a glass or metal bowl retained by a bale. Inside this bowl is the fuel filter.

The other 2 fuel filters are aftermarket add-ons.

ok, so I insulated fuel line and also removed a gasket that I think was failing in between the body of carb and fuel inlet fitting and getting crap in needle seat. I saw the heat riser has been deleted by PO, I think it may have been a combo of problems...I will see if this fully fixes issue-thanks to all for the replies and help

hoping this will help with heat soak/percolation as well

COOL! I have never seen one for a one barrel Holley even if it is listed incorrectly for a 289.

that's what I thought!

if this doesn't help, I may be done throwing money at this carb...may change distributor and carb to get rid of the LOM. Maybe...

The pic you showed is an Autolite/Motorcraft 1100 and I think they're superior. However I had to make some bracket extensions to make the linkage work on my 223. But as you can see in that pic, they are available with the Crapomatic can
