Fire from Carb
Hey guys, need your help. I just put a new holley 750 carb on my 83 bronco, 351w. I have a performer intake on it and took the old carb to autoz-ne and got one that was identical. I don't know much about motors and only do a little work here and there when neccesity calls. Before the carb switch, the motor would back fire and my (new) plugs would be covered in black soot after only 5 or 10 miles. I was told the carb was dumping to much fuel so I changed it today. Now when I start it, fire shoots out of the carb and it dies. Like I said the carb is brand new, I'm just wondering if the carb is to big or if they gave me the wrong one. Can you help please.
