I'm considering go back with the original front suspension on my 53 ford are there update leaf springs and bushing for this pick up, and have any of you done this if so were you pleased with the ride or did you wish you had spent the money of IFS. Any help is welcomed.
Thanks
Troy
Welcome to FTE! You'll like it here alot and don't take anybody here to seriously because were laid back(haha)! I'm not sure I understand you when you say your "going back to stock" whats on there now? But to answer your other questions yes there are new bushings, there has to be somewhere to find reconditioned springs. The ride in my straight axel leaf spring 60' is decent while on the highway. Other road bumps move you around but I think its all a fun experience. If your plan is to modify your truck than yes a ifs is probably the best money spent. Its all personal preference. -4speed
Yep some of the folks who carry resto parts do indeed carry the whole kit and kaboodle to authentically restore our trucks. Would suggest you check with our hosts first to see if they can fix you up, then look at some of the other vendors featured here on the site. I know the vendor in Charlotte, NC has the parts you want and probably others do too.

Tell me you didn't just say "kaboodle"???
LOL... If you get to say "kaboodle", then I get to call my 302 a "bully 302" not a girly 302!!!!!
Troy... I just bought front springs from a place in PA ... two fer. That's two for the price of one. That's right... the spring guy at Odessa Brake and Spring turned me on to this place... it was a great deal. E-mail me for the phone number.
Steve. Don't let these guys get all over your vocabulary. If you wish to use something wry and pithy, then just go right on ahead... the heck with them.

Not that "kaboodle" is in any way wry and/or pithy, Peter.
