FICM is 48 and 11.6 on the battery when starting then goes back up, the lowest I have seen the FICM is 47 I think. I just had that and the batteries and FICM replaced in December of 12'.

Keep in mind his MPG dropped to where it is so something happened/changed.

Sorry, must have missed that.
The EGR system let's exhaust roll through the intake plugging the IAT2 sensor. Just a thought.
Other then those, I would look at changing fuel filters, just to see how much junk they are collecting. Could be poor fuel quality. And like others have said, brake drag.
He addressed filters to, but you never know what could have happened along the way. 1 bad load of fuel?? I'd guess they get #1 up there in 'tator land all winter so I can't imagine that would be it either.
I know not to expect much for MPG is these trucks, just want to get a feel for what I should get towing..
I usually get 11 to 12 around town and up to 15 on the highway. My old toy hauler weighed about 5,000 lbs and I was getting around 10 or 9 depending on where I was going.
Got a new toy hauler and it weighs 7,000 to 7,5000 dry. Havnt put water in it yet, just a 10 gallon jug of water and two dirt bikes with some gas cans. I am getting 7.4 MPG. I went 170 miles and the fuel light came on.
Is this to be expected? It is stock excpet for the 4" turbo back and the bullydog intake.. (I know I should use the stock one)
Any thoughts. No codes on the SGII. oil and water temp stay within 15 degrees. But its pushing it.
Thanks,
Perhaps the trailer is higher and/or wider and/or the bottom is lower or not as aerodynamic?
The added weight also has more of an impact at higher speeds.
Just got the truck back from the tire shop. Breaks are all good, no dragging or issues there. There was a leaky seal in the rear axel that they replaced.
The trailer is taller than the old one, just dont see how some people with a 13K goose neck get 13 and I get 7's. Even with the old trailer I did not get good milage.
I will pull the fuel filter next week when I change the oil and see what kind of build up there is.
EGR is still there. The delete is on my want to do list though.
I'm just throwing stuff out there, I had air bags put on 2 months ago and I run them about 65 to 70 PSI all the time becuse I load up every weekend.
The items that effected my fuel economy: broken wire on the MAF sensor, but that caused a CEL, low voltage on FICM, bad EBP sensor, dragging rear caliper. I also had the original CAC boots (150k), and it seems like changing those has effected my fuel economy in a good way, but that is likely in my head. I also had a bad EGR valve, but not sure if that would effect fuel economy as much as drivability. Just throwing some ideas out there.
Im with you on the 7.5 MPG, I just went over the hills to Bend/China Hat pulling a 24' toy hauler, 12k on the scales. My first stop in Sisters was 136 miles using 18 gallons of fuel. My 6.0 is stock with a MBRP turbo back.
