I have a 2005 F150 with autolamp feature. The headlights do not work when autolamp is on. The parking lights and fog lights work, but the headkights don't. The highbeams will flash but don't come on in the on position. All lights function properly in the manual position. All relays and fuses are good. Anybody else with this problem? Any solutions?
Thanks, Falcon. I saw Yenrod's post from Aug '08 but he had no responses I saw his reply to me and tried his fix but no success. I thought I would post the question to see if any others had a possible solution.
Ah, okay. I didn't realize you had already seen it. I've only had mine for a month now, so I can't help much. I'm still getting used to having a half-ton gas V8 instead of my Crew Cab Long Bed F350 Powerstroke...
Wow, I thought my F150 Supercrew was big. Your F350 must have been a monster. I've had my F150 since new, 9 years last month. Other than this autolamp problem which just occurred (at least I hope I haven't been driving at night with only the fog lamps on) my only issue has been changing the original 2 piece Motorcraft spark plugs.
I'll be doing spark plugs before too long. Mine is an '06 and just turned over 26k.
The F350 was a beast, pain to park and drive around town, but it sure put a smile on my face! Built trans, Stage I injectors, chip, exhaust/intake. Putting down about 350hp and 700 lb/ft.
Needed something more practical for my family, and the F150 SCab is perfect!
Update on the autolamp problem.I've isolated the problem to the BSM (Body Security Module) located behind the driver-side rear seat. All other functions controlled by the BSM seem to be working properly so I'm just going to operate the headlights the old fashion way...manually... and not spend money on replacement at this time. Also a few nights ago I switched to the autolamp position just to check it and the headlights worked! But I don't trust the autolamp function anymore.

Reason: Added more info
Brown Falcon, I think they had changed to the one-piece plugs on the 06 models so the only difficulty should be tight access. Search the forum for more info and good luck!

Thanks for the heads up on the plugs. I'll look into it more before I change them. I was under the impression that all of the 3v 5.4's had the 2 piece plugs.
