Need feedback on the BFG Rugged Terrain
I have a set of BFG rugged Trails in 265/70-17 in load range E- they have 80,000 on them and can still go another 5 or 10 K before I replace them. Problem is I need more ground clearance. The rugged trail is available in 285/70r 17 load range E, but I need feedback about how quiet the are after 40 to 50 K miles. The rugged trails are as quiet as when new, and wear is good. Any feedback on the Rugged Trail as a quiet long running tire? Thanks

Thanks for the info- the rugged trails I had were the best tires I have ever owned. They were 10 ply and that made a big difference, and with 80,000 miles on them they were quiet. I replaced them with 10 ply rugged terrains yesterday, and I am glad to hear you say they are quiet also. The amazing thing about those tires were that I could have gotten another 10 to 15K miles, making them 100,000 mile tires. I changed them because I had a 1/4 x 3 " bolt go thru the tread. I still finished the next day and put another 150 miles on them until I got to the tire store. Thanks for giving me feedback.
