Electrical Problem

I recently bought a 79 F100 so im still discovering the little quirks in my new baby. Last night I noticed when my turn signal is on my radio dims and brightens with the signal. I checked out the fuse box this weekend and noticed that the previous owner has at least 4 wires just stuck into the fuse slots. (I assume for the new radio and oil pressure gage). I also just replaced the alternator.
any thoughts? Is this going to cause problems later or no big deal?

I wouldn't worry about it. The alternators on these were only adequate at best when they were new. If it bothers you, you could up your alternator or put in a separate circuit bridge to run your accessories and run that off of a relay to switched battery.

Do you notice other lighting loads dim too, or just the radio display? Not that it's necessarily related, but it's really in your best interest to undo the PO wiring and connect things properly.
