Hello, My 2007 F350 started having 4WD engagement issues today. When I turn the dashboard switch to 4WD-HI the yellow 4WD-HI dash light comes on but the hubs do not engage. If I lock them manually, I have 4WD. When I place the switch in 4WD-Low, the yellow light stays on 4WD-HI and the transfer case remains engaged in 4WD-Hi. The dashboard vent controls seem to work, so I think I have vacuum. All fuses seem good. Any thought? Thanks.
Engage the 4x4 and lock in one side at a time. See if locking in just one side will gain 4x4 operation. If it does you probably have a hub which either needs replaced or needs lubed. If both sides have to be engaged, check the solenoid on the passenger side fender near the vac pump. If you are maintaining climate controls and not going to defrost, I doubt you have a vac leak.
Thanks. I've tried switching to 4WD-Low fron Neutral and Park, no go. I have not tried locking the hubs one at a time, I'll try that asap. All vents are working properly, I have full control over the all vent postitions in 2WD and 4WD,

Did you have the brake pressed while in neutral when trying 4x4 low?
Has anyone used anything other than OE hubs? I have one hub not locking now and one hub making noise(when I take it off the truck, the insides seem very loose/worn), probably replaceing them this week, the Ford hubs are a little pricey.
