Help removing ignition barrel

the idea behind it is good but has it's problems too. The steering locking mechanism and the electrical ignition switch are all part of this unit. Very seldom do any of the parts fail. Biggest problems, they install with shear bolts, big pain. Alot of these, the lock cylinder is held in by roll pins. If the lock barrel I pictured is what he has, It looks exactly like a barrel out of a Focus.
Was the big heavy C clip on the back of the barrel? It has to line up properly to be removed also.

Yes there was a C clip towards the end. Would have no idea if that was locking it up, only could see it when it came out in a pile of swarf.
Got a Locksmith putting in a new tumbler, and matching it too my door keys. Done.
