Ok first off when I got my truck the steering column was in the rear floor board I put it in ans the truck wont start with the key. When I trying to start it with the key I have to use a good amount of force. It's a tilt column.
Im thinking of making it look like a mini18 wheeler. What do you think?

The linkage that runs from the key down the column to the ignition switch is probably broken or jammed up. Its a common issue with these trucks as the switch itself is down the column a ways, not right at the key.
If you search through here, there are a couple threads that lay out how to tear down the column and fix the issue.
